Gentle Hand Group Home LLC is an established group home providing residential living options for individuals with special needs and disabilities in Stafford, Virginia. We support people with learning disabilities, physical or cognitive difficulties, and other limitations. We aim to provide choices and opportunities for all these people regardless of their situations or circumstances to help them live independently and be recognized as valued members of the community.
We designed and developed our programs to respect their dignity and allow independence as much as possible to assure our resident’s happiness and well-being. Our programs focus on developing life skills and addressing their needs so they can transition back to the community and live life as they wanted to.
We also offer 24-hour supervision to help them with all their needs at any time of the day. We have recreational activities, habilitation programs, and many more to facilitate learning and coping abilities.
Our team of highly skilled and attentive staff focus on the personal needs of each resident living with us and create uniquely tailored care plans for every one of them. They are compassionate and dedicated to providing care to our residents and ensures all of them are comfortable and secure.
Mission
Our mission is to assist our residents in mastering the activities of daily living (ADLs) and the instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) to allow them to grow in independence and confidence and enjoy their everyday life.
Philosophy
Our Philosophy is that all people have the right to live, love, work, play, and pursue their dreams and aspirations in the community. Gentle Hand Group Home LLC was developed to help the individuals and families we serve. We aim to help them develop a vision for a good life, think about what they need to know and do, identify how to find or develop supports, and discover what it takes to create the lives they envision.
Our Goal
Our goal is to equip our residents with life skills that are not only necessary to keep them safe and healthy from day to day but will also have a great, positive impact on their ability to participate in and enjoy day-to-day life.
